Originally from Baltimore, Max is an award winning actor, film maker, and published writer who has performed in dozens of films, TV shows, and plays in New York, Los Angeles, and across the country. Max teaches actors at all levels for private coaching & group classes and is an adjunct professor of acting at the Towson University Hussman Center.
Melissa Malan
Acting, Improv, Commercial Coach
Melissa started as a dancer in St. Louis, MO and her love of the stage led her to acting. She has been a part of many wonderful productions such as Much Ado About Nothing (Hero) and Proof (Catherine). In Los Angeles, Melissa completed the conservatory program at Second City and performed in hundreds of improv shows, and several commercials including eBay & AAA. Melissa has worked with kids in storytelling and creativity at many NFP's. She teaches acting to kids 15 and under as well as improv & commercial technique for all ages.
AnnaSophia Gutierrez

Vocal Coach
AnnaSophia is our newest coach and has incredible talent with teaching and communication of acting technique, but is also an accomplished vocal coach. Her background as a facilitator for kids, and a vocal coach for adults makes her an ideal teacher for the methods we teach here at Acting With Max Studio. She is currently the vocal director for the UMBC stage productions and works tirelessly at her craft, consistently performing in local productions.
Madeline Lucker
Social Media Strategist
Madeline Lucker is an actor and writer from Baltimore, MD who has had a love for film and theater since childhood. She has been training with Max since 2022 and wanted to help grow the studio and share information about acting through social media. Working to help promote Acting with Max online has served as another creative outlet for her and she is enthusiastic about finding new ways to share updates, news, and fun from within the studio.
